What kind of competitive hockey can a 23 year old play?

I used to play AA and AAA travel from ages 8-13, then i played on my high school varsity team here in northwest ohio. I quit playing after high school because i was really sick of it and i just wanted to go to college.

Now that ive been away from hockey for awhile, i want to get back into playing competitively. Im going to get back into it by playing in drop-ins and such, but eventually i would love to play in a league for serious play again.

Does anybody know what i could do at my age. I figure i will be back in hockey shape in a year, so i'd be 24. Any suggestions? Anybody from the ohio, indiana, michigan area that knows?

Thanks

Most local rinks runa league for varying skill levels. My suggestion is to check with the,. Another great sorce is www.usahockey.com They have a link that says find hockey near you.

You could play in a minor league (not sure if that's the name they use)

theres this group calledmichigan sports enterprises there the leargest adult hockey leage in the coountry u might want to check them out at http://www.msehockey.com/

well the only other league I know of is the USJUVL but the age limit is till 24, a lot of scouts go to those games too. Um I think for you the next step for playing full contact will be a minor league type scenario. I know for a fact that the ECHL has open tryouts every year, you dont get paid much if you make it on, and it is hard to get on the teams. My friend who we all thought was wicked good, went to a stockton thunder tryout in california and did good at the tryouts scored I believe 8 goals and 13 assists, and was cut the final day of tryouts, so it is good hockey, but if you want contact I think that is your last hope, unless you want to go back to college for a major and play ACHA hockey there is no age limit in that, and its good quality hockey, D2 or D1 are the best. goodluck bro I am in your shoes now, i just finished up Jr.A and I dont know what to do now, I got into a college but not NCAA, only teams they got are ACHA, so I think I will do that and then tryout over seas in a euro league or maybe a minor pro team out here in cali, we got like 4 of them goodluck let me know how it goes for you man, email me if you got question regarding the leagues I talked about.

Try the local rinks they should have teams.
