How much would it cost to drive to Detroit, MI from Cleveland, OH?

Hi!

I've been looking for information on fuel costs and toll costs to drive from Cleveland to Detroit, and I can't find anything!

I found a fuel cost estimator from AAA and it said it would be $36.44 round trip but that sounds really underestimated, I was thinking that would be the cost each way.

So this is for anyone who's actually done the travelling first hand:

How much?

And how long?

Thanks! :)

Detroit to Cleveland is roughly 170 miles and takes about 3hours to drive.

Not knowing what mileage your car gets makes it a bit hard to estimate costs. But your Triple A estimate, sounds about right to me.

If the price of gas is a concern, check MapQuest.com, it has a feature that finds the cheapest in the area.

You can also use it for directions and a map if need be.

I would try the Trip Cost Calculator from the Scott Common Sense Community. Put in your car's avg mpg and an average of what gas is in your area and it should give you a solid estimate.
