Disney World on a college kid budget?

For my 21st b-day my mom is taking me, my sis, and my bf-ey to Daytona Beach. This is rare and exciting for me since I never do ANYTHING, let alone for my birthday. The problem is I have to pay for my own travel and if we want to go to disney world (which I do so so so bad!!!) that too, and travelling to and from disney from daytona. My boyfriend is a AAA member if that helps (although since we aren't married I don't know if that does anything good for me... :-( ) I'm willing to do just about anything, aka timeshare seminars for free tickets, taking a chinatown bus (we are from nyc where you can catch a chinatown bus to boston for 12 dollars). BAsically ANYTHING we can do to save money, because I really wanna make the most of my fl vacation, because I won't get to go down again for a loooooooooong time. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

1st off, Disney is not for little kids, sure, they have stuff for the little ones but I would recommend Disney to a 100 year old man! Everyone should visit Disney at least once in their life. It is way more then just a theme park.

But, I know if u stay in Orlando and want to stay at one of the resorts, try the value resorts. You still have transportation to and from the parks.

Also, something else to do, since ur going to be 21, you can "drink around the world" at Epcot. Its so cool. Just go to the World showcase there and every country has their own "drink" Its something fun to do and to say u've done it.

I dont think ur from FL but if u are u can get a Florida Resident discount. Other then that, just look online to see if their are any coupons but I wouldnt advise buyinjg "discount" tickets offline unless its off a Disney sight. A lot of those places end up ripping u off.

But HAVE FUN, I know you will if ur going to Disney!

You can visit http://www.mytoursguide.com and find a good number of articles and very useful tips to learn timeshare options worldwide. One can even get a free timeshare as a promotional offers from travel companies. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20070402152235AAeXfTg&kid=BYJdWWTeDVKhNwHOvQHH&s=comm&date=2007-07-04+19%3A10%3A31&.crumb=

Well, Disney is only about 1 1/2 hrs from Daytona. So you could just drive out for the day. Depending on when you're going, some of the parks are open late. If you only have 1 day, I recommend Magic Kingdom, or MGM. They have the most rides. Also, if you want to spend some time at night, there's Pleasure Island which has a bunch of different clubs. AAA doesn't give discountsfor just 1 day tickets and the tickets are about $67 for 1 park/day and I think $85 to get a 1 day park hopper. I'm not sure if any buses go from Orlando to Daytona, but I'm sure you can look it up online. Since you'll be 21 you can rent a car for the day, some places charge approx. $25 extra if you're under 25, but they'll still rent you a car. Save some extra money by eating Ramen noodles and spend the night in Orlando. Check around, they have cheap hotels and most have shuttles going to and from Disney! Have fun!

I recommend not doing Disney but instead Universal Studios. Disney World is mostly for little kids. Universal and Islands of Adventure have many intense rollercoasters and movie themed rides that are much more fun than the teapot and marrygoround rides at Disney.

Best Western Eastgate is nice. About 1/2 hour drive east of Disney. Daytona is, I think, about 6 hours away, so you really want to stay in a hotel in Orlando.

Go to EPCOT, then Animal Kingdon, then MGM Studios, finally Magic Kingdom. One day for each park, depending upon how much time you have.

Have your boyfriend get the tickets from AAA. Lowest price.

time share - forget it. They hold you like a prisoner for 2-4 hours. And throw in the hard sale. Not worth the discount.

Disney has trams that take you to all their parks. But no trams outside to take you to the hotel. Eat at McDonalds for breakfast, and the hotel for dinner. Lunch will cost $20 per person at the theme parks.

You can get all the Disney stuff in the stores OUTSIDE of Disney, cheaper prices than Disney.

Hope this helps.

Your mom is great for taking you to WDW!!
