AAA Travel rates ?

So are AAA travel packages really all that cheaper than booking a vacation on your own??

From a hotel standpoint, yes and no. Many hotels have a AAA rate, however, that is a 10% discount from their top rate for the room (or what we call the Rack rate). It really depends on the season, and how well the hotel qualifies your call. If the hotel is asking questions like business or pleasure, resident of the state, ect. I worked at a hotel that offered a state resident rate. Your best bet, (and yes some of the sites bring in the neediest people) is orbitz, or priceline. You will get a pretty good deal.
