How do i get money back through AAA travel for a disney ticket?

how do i go about getting a refund on a 10 day disney pass if one of my kids can not go. my 16 year old son is in a detention center. and may not get to go with us, so how can i get a refund on his ticket if he can not go. i booked the trip through AAA in april, i know i can not get a refund on his airline ticket, but i hope i can salvage part of the money if he can not go. ???

Did you get travel insurance? If so you can get a percentage back. Check with your booking, you may of gotten it without knowing.

If you can't get any money back at all on the ticket one other option to you is to get the park ticket changed to a non-expiring ticket. This costs more to add on, but then you could use that 10 day park ticket anytime in the future.

Also - check with your airline about whether you can get a "credit" of some kind for an unused ticket. That would let you use the amount you paid for the ticket, minus any change charges, toward another flight in the future.

But I would call AAA and inquire about the airline ticket, and the disney tickets. As long as they are not yet in your possession, you should be able to get a refund.

well the logical thing to do is call AAA and tell them.

they can refund it i know cuz i book disney trips though AAA every year and they always tell me i can get a partial or full refund besides the $200 deposit and airfare up to 2 weeks before the trip.

infact i have been in a similar situation.

we bought 5 day tickets for me, and my family and then before we went we decided we only wanted a 4 day ticket for each of us and they simply fixed it so we had a 4 instead of 5 day ticket.

they took our tickets and mailed them to disney and disney mailed us new tickets with the new number of days on them and then sent a check for the refund money.

you won't get an immediate refund cuz you will have have AAA to mail your exta 10 day ticket into disney and you have to wait to get a check from disney in the mail.

PS. actually in that case it should be even easier to get your money back. just tell the person at the front desk when you are checking in to the hotel and they can electronically take of the tickets right there. if you put it on a credit card it will be taken off immediately.

if you paid in cash i'm not sure how they would give you a refund. perhaps by check.
