I turned 13 and i am a 95 born december 30. I am the smallest one on the ice 5 ft without skates. I play aa hockey in other words travel!! I am a center and right winger. I have a 47 mph wrist shoot and about 70 mph slap shot! I havent hit puberty yet!! I am the fastest on the team and on a good aa team. I ride the bike for 20 minutes each day. Also i workout with my upper body for a good hour and a half in my basement as i also skate on the ice. And the other day i work out wit my legs for an hour and a half. I also shoot pucks every day. I want some tips on being able to make aaa and i do know i am not tall or big enough. But i will soon sprought. Are there any tips on practicing or working out or anything i can do till i grow.

Offensive skill is great, but you have to play with heart and focus on the defensive aspect of the game. You have to finish your checks and backcheck. Don't force plays when you are attacking on offense i.e. don't be afraid to dump and chase.

As for as working out, I have a program, but you shouldn't do it until you get a little older (around 16). It is called static contraction weight training. It will make you as strong as a bull. Right now, just do isometrics (without weights) and plyometics (which is something you should always do as an athlete).

You should A-ask your coatch what you can work on. B-try to eat healthy foods and keep in good shape. C-keep working out like you are, but don't stress your body too much. D-get enough sleep.E-be happy and have fun so that your body stays positve and isn't stressed!F-still stay good in school.
